Moving around Northeastern PA and into the tri-state has its own quirks — narrow city streets, mountain roads, big-building rules, and weather that doesn't always cooperate. Here's how to plan around them.

Scranton & Wilkes-Barre

Older neighborhoods mean tighter streets and on-street parking. If you're on a busy block, reserve space in front of your door the morning of (cones or a car) so the truck can get close — every extra foot of carry adds time on an hourly move.

The Poconos

Long private driveways, gravel, and community/HOA gates are common. Have gate codes and any community move-in rules ready, and let us know about steep or unpaved drives so we bring the right approach.

Philadelphia, New Jersey & New York City

City and high-rise moves often require a certificate of insurance (COI), a reserved freight elevator, and a loading-dock time window. Buildings can book these days in advance — ask your building manager early, and tell us the requirements so we have your paperwork ready.

Timing tips that save money

• Avoid month-end and weekends if you can — they're the busiest and book up first.
• Start early in the day to beat traffic on I-81, I-80, and into the city.
• Watch the weather in winter; have a backup plan for snow and salt at the doors.
