Moving Pianos, Safes & Specialty Items
The heavy, awkward, and valuable pieces need a plan. Here's how we handle them — and what we need from you.
Some items take more than muscle — they take the right equipment, technique, and a heads-up in advance. If your move includes any of these, tell us when you book so we send the right crew.
Pianos
Uprights and especially grand pianos are heavy, top-heavy, and delicate inside. We use proper dollies, straps, and padding, and plan the path (doorways, turns, stairs) before lifting. Never try to "walk" a piano down stairs without the right gear.
Gun safes & heavy safes
Safes concentrate hundreds of pounds onto a tiny footprint, which can damage floors and stairs if mishandled. We assess the route, protect surfaces, and use equipment rated for the weight. Tight basements and stairs are doable — but we plan them carefully.
Gym equipment & appliances
Treadmills, multi-station gyms, and large appliances often need partial disassembly. Let us know the make/model if you can, and whether anything needs to be disconnected (we recommend a pro for gas appliances).
What we need from you
- List specialty items in your booking and add the specialty handling option.
- Tell us about stairs, tight corners, and long carries at both ends.
- Clear the path in advance so the crew can move safely.
A flat specialty add-on covers the extra equipment and care these items require, on top of the standard rate.
